Woodwind players are often exposed to dangerous levels of noise. This will cause long term hearing damage, unless you wear hearing protection. If you’ve tried foam disposable earplugs, you’ve found they distort sound. This is because woodwind musicians don’t just hear themselves through their ears, but also through bone conduction. When you place a foam earplug into your ear it will trap this bone conducted sound, making it reverberate and echo, distorting the sound of your instrument and causing pitch problems.
Minerva Woodwind MusicPlugs give the perfect solution to high noise exposure; the deeply fitted custom earpiece reduces reverberation of sound in the ear, and a large vent lets sound escape. This is combined with the latest in filtering technology to reduce sound, without distorting it. The result is just like someone turned down the volume, keeping you safe and letting you get on with playing.
Each set is extremely comfortable, available to order on this site and will offer you years of protection, without impacting your performance.

We offer our unique filter exchange program should you wish to change to an alternative filter strength to match your environment.

The filters are interchangeable if you need to swap to a different filter strength as your environment changes. Filters are also available to purchase separately.

Filter exchange is available within 30 days from dispatch of order. One exchange per order.
